1. There are 3 programmable buttons for HomeLink®, typically situated directly above the center console on the ceiling. To begin, press and hold the 1st and 3rd buttons simultaneously until your interior lights flash –– this may take up to 20 seconds. Note that pressing these buttons together acts as the master reset. There is no need to press them again when connecting additional devices.
2. When the interior lights start flashing, press and hold the button you want to program while holding down the open/close button on your garage door remote. At this point, the interior lights should switch from slow to rapid flashing, meaning you’ve successfully programmed your garage door.
3. Head inside your garage and press the “learn” button on the main garage door opener unit.
4. Finally, head back inside your car and press the newly programmed button for at least 2 seconds. The lights on your garage door opener may flash, which is just to indicate that it’s in the process of connecting.
