1. Using your Chevy key, unlock your door manually.
2. Make sure all of your vehicle’s doors are completely shut. Insert the key in the ignition, but don’t turn it.
3. Press and hold down the unlock button on your driver’s side door. Without releasing the unlock button, use your other hand to turn the key in the ignition to the “On” position. (Meaning the cabin lights and technology will turn on, but the engine hasn’t turned over.)
4. Swiftly turn the key right back to the “Off” position. Then, without any delay, switch it back to “On” and “Off” a final time. In total, you’ll be turning the key in the ignition in an On-Off-On-Off pattern.
5. You can now release the unlock button.
6. When you release it, the door locks should automatically engage and disengage. This indicates the beginning of the Chevy key fob programming sequence.
7. On the Chevy key fob, press and hold the “Unlock” and “Lock” buttons at the same time. The door locks should engage and disengage once more, this time indicating that you’ve completed the Chevy key fob programming.
8. Turn the key back to the “On” position in the ignition to end the programming sequence.
